Chiropractic Care

Spine model

Chiropractors are natural physicians who don’t use drugs or surgery to help their patients heal. The human body is self-healing by design; we help remove any obstacles, so it may function as planned.

Our Focus

“As chiropractors, we focus on the balance of the human frame. Our emphasis is on the spine, which houses the spinal cord and nerves. These 24 moveable vertebrae surround very sensitive nerve tissue. Excess stress or chronic poor posture may cause misalignment of the spine, putting pressure on the nerves,” said Dr. Ortiz.

Since these nerves are responsible for coordinating the function of all the organs, muscles, and other systems in the body, any interruption may affect overall health. Our job as chiropractors is to find the misalignment, and make corrections to the vertebrae by manually moving it back into alignment.

Tools and Techniques

The primary adjusting techniques we use include

Diversified—the most widely used manual manipulation technique.

Koren Specific—an advanced form of spinal analysis used to locate musculoskeletal malfunctions.

Thompson Drop table—good for patients with mobility issues; it uses moveable panels to make the adjustment.

ArthroStim®—an instrument that provides a gentle pulse to aid in making an adjustment. Perfect for children and the elderly because of its gentleness.

Decompression therapy—a very specific method of relieving pressure on the injured spinal discs to relieve nerve pain.

As an adjunct therapy, we use the EVRL Erchonia laser. With dual wavelengths, it kills viruses and bacteria on the skin, and is extremely effective at healing and decreasing pain.
